I love water, I just bought a new horribly overpriced sports swimming suit, and whenever I swim laps I just end up swimming the breaststroke the whole time. I think my friend Andi and I were the only ones who weren't regulars, so the instructor did a lot firm, aerobics-instructor instructing. I got to use styrofoam water weights, and basically feel the whole time like I was synchronized swimming. So basically, it was pretty much some of the best exercising I've ever done.
WINNER.

Fitzgerald at the Marvel Bar
Tonight I went to Marvel Bar for the first time with my Eric, who is visiting from Philly-Baltimore-NY-North Carolina-Puppet Land. We followed a small group of gentlemen around the building, all of us searching for the elusive Purple Door. We found ourselves out by the dumpsters and decided collectively we were in the wrong place. We finally found the stairs that led to the grey door that led to the Purple Door, and then MAGIC. Hip furniture, hip wallpaper, hip hip hip. It was everything I'd hoped it would be, and the server was attentive and hip and didn't make me feel like I was not hip enough for my hip chair and hip drink.
I had a Fitzgerald, which not only was lemony, refreshing, and delicious, but also made me want to reread The Great Gatsby. And made me think of my mother's life-changing experience in her youth with Fitzgerald. And did NOT give me heartburn.
Score: Delicious and super hip out of 10
